Job summary

PERSOL Business Service is seeking a diligent Credit Approver/Analyst in Kuala Lumpur to perform onboarding credit checks, analyze reports, and ensure timely posting of payments. You will collaborate with finance and risk teams to uphold company credit policies and maintain meticulous records.

Ideal candidates have experience with credit bureau tools, strong accounting knowledge, and excellent attention to detail. Some flexibility with working hours may be required to align with ANZ time zones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in conducting credit checks and analyzing credit reports.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis.
• Experience with credit bureau reports and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive credit checks on prospective clients during onboarding.
• Analyze credit reports and financial statements to assess credit risk and financial stability.
• Utilize credit bureau reports and other data sources to gather information.
• Prepare detailed credit assessment reports with recommendations.
• Collaborate with finance and risk management to align with credit policies.
• Maintain accurate records of all credit checks and documentation.
• Monitor client credit status periodically for compliance with terms.
• Communicate with clients to obtain needed documentation and clarify credits.
• Stay updated on industry trends and changes in credit reporting practices.
• Apply incoming payments to customer accounts accurately and promptly.
• Conduct reconciliation of payment details with invoices to ensure correct postings.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies between payment amounts and invoice details.

Job description

• Utilize credit bureau reports and other relevant data sources to gather necessary information.
• Prepare detailed credit assessment reports and provide recommendations based on findings.
• Collaborate with the finance and risk management teams to ensure alignment with company credit policies.
• Maintain accurate records of all credit checks and related documentation.
• Monitor and review client credit status periodically to ensure ongoing compliance with credit terms.
• Communicate with clients to obtain necessary documentation and clarify credit-related queries.
• Stay updated on industry trends and changes in credit reporting practices.
• Responsible for applying incoming payments to customers account accurately and promptly.
• Conduct reconciliation payment details with invoice ensuring that payments are correctly posted in the accounting system.
• Identifying and resolving discrepancies between payment amounts and invoice details. Which may involve investigation of short payments, overpayments or unapplied cash

Education/ Experience/ Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• Proven experience in conducting credit checks and analyzing credit reports
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis
• Experience with credit bureau reports and related tools

• Willing to work based on ANZ working hour and to work during PH if required (6.30am - 3.30pm)
