Job description

Minimum required is a recognized Diploma / Degree in Finance Studies or Accountancy.

Minimum 3 years of working experience in credit control, preferably from manufacturing / retail environment.

Good command in written and spoken English and BM. Articulate in other Mandarin dialects will be an advantage. We are looking for Mandarin-speaking candidates who will be serving Mandarin-speaking customers.

Pleasant disposition, excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a positive work attitude, high level of integrity, and ability to work independently with minimum supervision.

Well versed in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel. Knowledge in SAP will be an advantage.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist in managing the overall company debtors and administer the company’s credit control policy to minimize bad debts.
• Monitor receivable accounts and follow-up on overdue accounts.
• Identify potential bad accounts and update management for appropriate action.
• Participate in resolving customer disputes promptly.
• Ensure timely updates and reconciliations of customer accounts to minimize disputes.
• Develop and maintain good relationships with the Commercial Department and customers, including visiting debtors to renegotiate payment terms and collect payments when necessary.
• Evaluate credit risks and review new customer applications prior to approval.
• Prepare monthly debtor analysis reports and overdue listings with causes.
• Prepare dispute transaction reconciliation reports with explanations.
• Apply received payments daily.
• Provide weekly and monthly cash collection forecasts and reports.
• Prepare invoices for payment by BA and LC documents when required.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
