Credit Control Assistant/Officer (Property Developer)

About the role

KTI Landmark Berhad, a leading property developer in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, is seeking a full-time Credit Control Assistant/Officer to join their dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing the company's credit control processes, ensuring timely payments from customers, and maintaining the financial health of the organization.

What you'll be doing

  • Ensure the submission of sales applications are acted upon within the time frame and standard.
  • Liaise with purchasers on the preparation of Sale & Purchase Agreements / Loan Agreements and all related documents for government / bank loans.
  • Handle all collection of documentation from purchasers for government / bank loans.
  • Ensure that customers’ feedback and inquiries are handled professionally within the required time frame and standard.
  • Compile and submit accurate reports on signing of SPAs and LAs to Management daily.
  • Complete accurate reports on Sales Agents’ Commission for payment.
  • Maintain a good filing system of purchasers’ files and ensure purchasers’ data/records are filed and updated into the system.
  • Maintain a clean working environment in the office and manage costs effectively.
  • Complete general administrative tasks like typing, filing, etc., and participate in marketing activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management from time to time.

What we're looking for

  • At least 2 years of experience in a credit control or accounts receivable role, preferably in the property development or construction industry.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to work with financial data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with customers.
  • Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office suite.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work independently to meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of credit control policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • A relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
