Overview

Hong Leong Asset Management – Damansara, Selangor

Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive fundamental credit analysis on fixed income securities and monitor investment limits on the approved investment list.
  • Conduct ESG research and assessments, and assist in formulating the ESG framework and scoring model for the fixed income team.
  • Prepare credit initiation papers for new bond issuers as well as identify and initiate new credit names for timely review.
  • Monitor and manage credit ratings, credit quality, and corporate actions by bond issuers.
  • Prepare and submit annual credit review reports, investment reports, fund fact sheets, and other fund-related dashboard reports.
  • Create and maintain financial models and databases that support credit and investment proposals.
  • Provide credit and fund-related support to the fixed income team.
  • Monitor and assess credit developments, identify red flags/negative developments of bond issuers, and keep abreast with credit rating changes.
Qualifications
  • Possess Bachelor Degree in Accountancy, Business Studies, Economics, Finance or any equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of working experience in credit analysis, credit risk management, audit, research, or other related financial fields.
  • Strong in credit and fundamental analysis.
  • Technical and market knowledge of fixed income instruments.
  • Good report writing and communication skills.
  • CFA or other professional certificates would be an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and/or Bloomberg.
  • Good command of spoken and written English.
