Job summary

Mega Discovery (KL) SDN BHD is seeking a content creator to plan, shoot and edit short-form videos, Reels and photos for social platforms.

You will transform product knowledge into engaging B2B content for bakery, F&B and trade audiences, developing scripts, captions and a content calendar while maintaining an organized asset library.

Fresh graduates with strong portfolios are welcome; 1–2 years in social media or digital marketing is ideal. Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Media, Multimedia, Design or related field.
• Strong content portfolio may be considered in place of formal qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Plan, shoot and edit short-form videos for social platforms.
• Create product demos, educational content and behind-the-scenes videos.

• Coordinate with team to ensure factual accuracy and brand consistency.
• Maintain a content library of raw footage and final assets.

Job description

Plan, shoot and edit short-form videos, Reels and photos for Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.

Transform product knowledge into engaging and credible B2B content for bakery, F&B and trade audiences.

Work closely with the Marketing Executive to plan and execute the monthly content calendar and ensure content is delivered on schedule.

Create a variety of content including product demonstrations, educational videos, behind-the-scenes content, exhibitions and company activities.

Develop video scripts, hooks, captions and calls-to-action that are clear, engaging and aligned with our brand.

Coordinate with relevant team members to ensure content is factually accurate and linguistically appropriate.

Maintain an organized content library, including raw footage, source files and final assets in the Marketing shared workspace.

Monitor social media content performance and provide practical recommendations for improvement.

Follow creative and brand guidelines from the Creative Executive and support marketing campaigns when required.

Bring fresh ideas and proactively identify opportunities for new content, trends and storytelling angles.

Education

Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Media, Multimedia, Design or a related field.

Candidates with a strong content portfolio may be considered in place of formal qualifications.

Skills

Comfortable with short-form video planning, shooting and editing using CapCut, Adobe or similar tools.

Basic skills in product photography and Canva.

Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, especially for copywriting and content creation.

Familiar with content formats and trends on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.

Organized, proactive and able to work independently and manage deadlines.

Mandarin is an added advantage.

Experience

1-2 years of experience in social media content creation, videography, digital marketing or a related field.

Fresh graduates with a strong portfolio are welcome to apply.

Experience or exposure in F&B, bakery, retail, B2B or manufacturing will be an advantage.
