Job summary

Shanghai Yu Yuan Jewelry Fashion Group Co., Ltd. seeks a seasoned executive to spearhead Business Development and Channel Expansion in Malaysia, building mall partnerships, franchises, and wholesale networks while negotiating terms for long-term growth.

The role also oversees full retail store operations, local team leadership, and brand localization, ensuring regulatory compliance and close cross-border coordination with China HQ to align launches, campaigns, and supply chain.

Qualifications

• 8+ years senior management experience in jewelry/luxury retail.
• Solid network with Malaysia shopping mall owners, retail investors and jewelry wholesale channels.
• Fluent in English and Malaysian; conversational Chinese is a strong plus for HQ communication.
• Excellent negotiation, leadership and cross-cultural communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Develop Malaysia market growth strategy with mall partners, franchisees and distributors.
• Oversee offline stores' daily operations, sales targets, visual merchandising, inventory and cash management.
• Recruit and lead store supervisors and sales staff; conduct performance appraisals.
• Ensure compliance with Malaysia jewelry, tax, import and retail regulations; localize brand marketing.
• Coordinate with China HQ on supply chain, new product launches, marketing campaigns and store construction.

Job description

-Business Development & Channel Expansion

Develop Malaysia market growth strategy, develop mall partners, retail franchisees & wholesale distributors; negotiate store opening, franchise terms and long-term cooperation agreements; build local brand partnerships to boost market penetration.

-Full Retail Store Operation Management

Oversee all offline stores’ daily operation, sales target achievement, visual merchandising, inventory control, gold stock security, POS & cash management; standardize store service, customer complaint handling and loss prevention.

-Local Team Leadership

Recruit, train and manage store supervisors, sales staff; conduct performance appraisal, motivate teams to hit sales goals.

-Local Compliance & Brand Localization

Ensure full compliance with Malaysia jewelry, tax, import and retail regulations; adapt brand marketing, promotion and product mix to local Malaysian consumer demand.

-Cross-border Coordination

Liaise closely with China headquarters on supply chain, new product launch, marketing campaign and store construction.

Job Requirements

• 8+ years senior management experience in jewelry/luxury retail; proven track record of country/regional BD & full store operation management.
• Solid network with Malaysia shopping mall owners, retail investors and jewelry wholesale channels; familiar with local jewelry retail rule.
• Fluent in English and Malaysian; conversational Chinese (Mandarin/Cantonese) is a strong plus for HQ communication.
• Excellent negotiation, leadership and cross-cultural communication skills; familiar with gold inventory risk control and retail loss prevention.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management or related fields.
