PEC, an international technology supplier, committed to enable the production of green batteries for a Blue Planet, is seeking a Country Manager to join our new plant in Penang, Malaysia. By becoming a part of our mission, you will play a pivotal role in establishing the first large-scale battery factories in Europe and the United States, thereby contributing to a greener future. Your tasks

The Country Manager holds the daily management responsibility for the subsidiary (development engineers, production engineers and administrative personnel).

You will be responsible for:

• Operational management of the subsidiary, including the definition and follow-up of individual objectives, and the optimization of the company’s results in Malaysia.
• Manage, improve and extend relationships with key customers, suppliers and government
• Manage staffing and contractors
• Daily coaching of the Engineering and Manufacturing teams in achieving their targets
• Closely co-operate with Engineering, sales and manufacturing at HQ in Belgium
• Further grow and develop the PEC brand and business in Malaysia
• Direct reporting to the CEO

The ideal candidate has

• A Master degree in Business Administration, Technical Field (engineering) or Supply Chain
• 5 to 8 years of proven people management experience in an international group
• Proven experience in successfully setting up a production plant, preferably in Asia
• You are a pragmatic, inspiring and hands-on leader with strong business sense
• A stress-resistant mindset and is a problem-solver
• Excellent communication skills in English
