Blue Water Shipping is seeking a Country HSE Specialist based in Johor Bahru, Malaysia to drive safety, compliance and continuous improvement across our operations. You will collaborate with regional teams to align with global standards and regulatory requirements, acting as the local HSE expert.

The role includes risk assessments, incident investigations, training delivery, site inspections and emergency preparedness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience in an HSE role within logistics, energy, or industrial operations.
• HSE certifications such as DOSH-approved OSH-C, NEBOSH, IOSH, or ISO Lead Auditor are preferred.
• Knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and local HSE laws.

Responsabilités

• Act as the local HSE expert ensuring compliance with policies and local laws.
• Implement Compliance & Sustainability activities as directed by regional HSE leadership.
• Coordinate risk assessments and establish corrective actions.
• Conduct site inspections, audits and incident investigations.
• Deliver on-site and online training and safety briefings.
• Support emergency preparedness and drills.
• Monitor HSEQ performance and report data monthly.
