The Position

You will be :

Key Responsibilities:

GAMA :

  • Coordinate with SSC KL Finance teams (AP, GAMA, AR, TR, T&E, Compliance, and Procurement) and execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities to ensure timely and accurate closure of accounts in compliance with the month-end close checklist. Perform analytical review of profit and loss accounts and balance sheet, accountable for the financial accuracy of the affiliate’s financials. Responsible for all Internal Controls of Financial Reporting (ICFR) documentation and internal controls matters, acting as owner for the ICFR tools – INVOLVE and BWISE.
  • Review monthly balance sheet reconciliation – follow up on open items and rectify any anomalies encountered. Submit other reporting packages accurately and within the specified timeline, e.g., Sustainability, Insurance reporting. Responsible for IFRS 16 Leasing related matters, e.g., SimSol /Planon. Review and approve all manual journal entries for posting by SSC KL team. Responsible for all management accounting aspects, e.g., Period cost allocation, COPA allocation, SSC allocation, etc.
  • Manage Accounts Receivables and Accounts Payables: review and approve manual billings, review debtors' aging, and determine follow-up actions. Ensure all sales-related activities are reported timely and accurately. Review and approve AP-related activities, e.g., vendor invoices, payments.
  • Treasury: Manage cash flow – forecast current and future cash flow requirements and arrange necessary fund transfers. Handle treasury matters such as FX deals, credit facilities, payment requests, and banking issues.
  • Manage master data: Chart of Accounts, Cost Center, Profit Center, WBS, vendor & customer master data, UCI, etc.
  • Other tasks: Prepare statutory taxes calculations and reconciliations, liaise with Tax Consultants, prepare audit schedules, participate in compliance audits, and respond to audit queries. Identify and implement continuous improvement solutions. Serve as the main contact for SSC KL Finance teams and FM for all financial matters, requests, and advisory.

Who you are :

  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or equivalent. ACCA, CPA Australia, or other professional qualifications are an advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in an accountant role or audit.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, audit, and taxation. Proficiency in SAP and MS Office tools.
  • Meticulous, independent, proactive, and able to meet tight deadlines. Strong communication skills and proven stakeholder management abilities across diverse groups.
  • Proficiency in influencing skills. Comfortable in a dynamic environment and capable of working across cultures. Willing to travel for business when required.
