Job summary

A leading manufacturer in Malaysia seeks a Costing Staff member to analyze costs, pricing, and financial data to enhance operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a background in finance or accounting and at least 3 years of relevant experience. This role offers a one-year contract with permanent conversion options.

Analyze production, supply chain, and operational costs to support decision-making.

Develop and maintain standard costing frameworks and regularly update with real-time inputs.

Perform cost variance analysis and identify areas for operational efficiency

Develop and maintain product pricing models considering cost structures, market conditions, and profitability targets.

Collaborate with sales, product, and marketing teams to set pricing strategies that align with business objectives.

Evaluate pricing impact on margins, sales volume, and revenue targets.

Support promotional and discount strategies through scenario modeling and profitability analysis.

c) Financial & Business Insights:

Conduct product profitability analysis by SKU, customer, and region.

Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes using cost and pricing data.

Prepare business cases and pricing proposals for new product launches.

Support internal audits and ensure compliance with pricing and costing policies.

d) Others

· Other ad-hoc activity or functions as and when required by superior.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Economics (CMA/CPA/ACCA preferred).

3+ years of experience in costing, pricing, or financial analysis (preferably in manufacturing)

Strong knowledge of cost accounting, financial modeling, and pricing strategy.

High proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, modeling) and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)

Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial teams.

Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.

Contract for 1 year with option to convert as permanent position.
