Job summary

Agensi Pekerjaan EPS Consultants Sdn Bhd is seeking a Costing/Accounting professional to manage product costing across material, labour, and overhead, and to analyze variances.

You will collaborate with Production, Engineering, Purchasing and Warehouse teams to ensure accurate costing data, support budgeting, forecasting and cost improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Cost Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of costing/accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Experience in manufacturing costing, standard costing, BOM, WIP, inventory costing and variance analysis preferred.
• Proficient in Excel, especially Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and data analysis.
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems is an added advantage.
• Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and meet reporting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain product costing, including material, labour and manufacturing overhead costs
• Perform standard cost vs. actual cost analysis and investigate significant variances
• Analyse manufacturing costs, including material usage, labour, overhead, yield and production variances
• Review and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) and product cost structures
• Monitor and analyse raw materials, WIP and finished goods inventory costs
• Assist with monthly closing, inventory reconciliation and manufacturing cost reporting
• Prepare cost analysis, margin and profitability reports for management
• Assist in annual budgeting, forecasting and cost planning
• Work closely with Production, Engineering, Purchasing and Warehouse teams to ensure accurate costing information
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and support cost reduction and continuous improvement projects
