Job summary

Flowserve, a global leader in flow control solutions, is seeking an experienced Cost Accountant in Malaysia to support local operations and potentially assist other facilities. The role reports to the Finance Manager and focuses on cost analysis, month-end close, and cost system ownership.

Applicants should have a BS/BA in accounting or finance and 3–5 years of relevant experience, with proficiency in Excel and familiarity with cost accounting policies.

Qualifications

• BS or BA degree in a relevant field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong cost accounting knowledge.
• Proficiency in Excel and MS Office.
• General knowledge of accounting policies.

Responsibilities

• Month end reporting.
• Close for Inventory/Purchasing and Accounts Receivable close and reconciliation.
• Project accounting — monthly review margins and processing.
• Sales and margin analysis.
• Processing month end journals, accruals/prepayments/recharges.
• Fixed Asset accounting.
• Reconcile month end bookings.
• Balance sheet reconciliations.
• Data analysis for cost and manufacturing within the business.
