About the Role

Due to business expansion, we are seeking a high-performing Cost Accountant to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong academic background in accounting and solid experience in cost accounting within a multinational environment. You will be responsible for maintaining product costing, Free Trade Agreement (FTA) management, and ensuring internal controls over inventory and financial accuracy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Free Trade Agreement (FTA) applications, renewals, and audits (when applicable).

  • Handle end-to-end accounting and month-end closing for the APAC Service Depot, including reporting, budgeting, and forecasting cycles.

  • Lead the development and maintenance of standard costing systems (M-Plant / D-Plant) in line with corporate guidelines and US GAAP compliance.

  • Implement and monitor controls for accurate inventory and product costing, ensuring alignment with corporate accounting policies and quality systems.

  • Support Operations/Distribution teams by analyzing actual vs. budget performance and driving financial insights.

  • Collaborate with the Finance Department for financial planning and internal projects.

  • Assist the Cost Accounting Manager with ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as required.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with a minimum CGPA of 3.33 (mandatory).

  • Professional qualifications (e.g. CPA, ACCA, CIMA) are an added advantage.

  • At least 5 years of relevant cost accounting experience in a multinational environment.

  • Background in medical devices, biotech, or pharmaceutical industries is preferred but not essential.

  • Proficient in ERP systems; SAP experience is an advantage.

  • Strong command of Excel; familiarity with Hyperion and SAP BW is a plus.

  • High attention to detail with a strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
