Responsibilities
- Maintain and monitor costing systems, including standard cost setups and variances.
- Analyze production cost variances, material usage, labor, and overhead allocation.
- Implement and oversee cost control measures to ensure operational efficiency and minimize wastage.
- Work closely with production, supply chain, and procurement teams to ensure accurate and consistent cost reporting.
- Prepare cost analysis reports to support pricing, budgeting, and profitability decisions.
- Develop and maintain standard costs for products, ensuring timely updates based on changes in materials, labor, and overhead.
- Participate in monthly and quarterly financial closings, ensuring cost data is accurate and complete.
- Assist in inventory valuation and ensure compliance with internal controls for inventory management.
- Conduct regular stock variance investigations and support physical inventory counts.
- Support annual budget preparation by providing detailed cost forecasts and analysis.
- Lead and participate in stock count activities, ensuring proper documentation, variance analysis, and investigation of discrepancies.
- Monitor and report on slow-moving and obsolete inventory, recommending actions to minimize loss.
- Collaborate with auditors during internal and external audits, providing costing-related documentation and explanations.
