Corporate Communications & Public Relations

About the role.

An enthusiastic candidate that possesses creativity and knowledge of different tactics and able to explore new ideas and produce creative digital content across digital channels. This position combines membership management responsibilities with communication duties aimed at ensuring the organization’s message is effectively communicated to members and the broader public. This includes overseeing membership services, engaging with members to foster strong relationships, and developing innovative strategies to present the company in alignment with current digital trends and corporate standards.

Job Scope And Responsibilities

You shall be supporting the Company’s Corporate Communications & Public Relations department with the following:

  • Develop and implement communication strategies for external audiences.
  • Plan and create press releases, newsletters, annual reports, and other official communications.
  • Cultivate relationships with media outlets to ensure positive coverage of the Company’s activities and achievements.
  • Enhance the company’s image and public perception through campaigns and media outreach.
  • Manage corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs and initiatives.
  • Foster relationships with government bodies, regulators, and key stakeholders.
  • Plan and manage corporate events, conferences, and community engagement programs.
  • Manage the company’s social media platform ensuring effective engagement and informative content.
  • Develop creative content for newsletters, websites, speeches, and presentations.
  • Track and analyze public opinion, media coverage, and trends.
  • Recruit and onboard new members.
  • Provide explanations to existing and potential members on basic copyright and membership benefits.
  • Address member queries and concerns.
  • Regularly communicate with members on the Company’s services and policies.
  • Implement engagement programs to raise awareness and encourage sign-ups.
  • Collaborate closely and provide support to other colleagues on department-related matters.
  • Attend to any other duties as assigned by the Head of Operations or the Chief Executive Officer.

What we're looking for

  • 0 -3 years of working experience in Public Relations/Communications (experience in a music or copyright-related field is an advantage).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in Bahasa Malaysia, English, and Mandarin.
  • Experience managing social media platforms and digital communication strategies.
  • Experience in emceeing or public speaking is an added advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse members.
  • Passionate about digital content and emerging trends.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and other membership management software.
  • Self-motivated, pro-active, and able to manage multiple tasks.
  • Willingness to work additional hours during peak periods and manage social media accounts during weekends and public holidays as required.
