YOUR ROLE

As a Copywriter, you'll have the opportunity to showcase your creativity in ideation, writing prowess, and strategic expertise at a local and regional level for a key automotive client. You'll be an integral part of our creative team and play a pivotal role in crafting compelling and engaging content across various channels. You are expected to support, and at times spearhead collaborations with RAPP offices across Southeast Asia while delivering innovation creative solutions in new business pitches.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Content Creation: Write, edit, and proofread a wide range of content, including but not limited to print ads, social posts, film and radio scripts, websites, digital media and more.
  • Idea Generation: Develop content with original ideas, themes, and concepts, whether for storytelling, marketing, or information dissemination.
  • Audience Understanding: Analyze target audiences to adapt writing style, tone, and content to suit different demographics and objectives.
  • Research: Research to gather information and ensure the accuracy and authenticity of content.
  • Editing and Revising: Review and revise work to improve clarity, coherence, and overall quality.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with graphic designers, art directors and other team members to create integrated and cohesive content.
  • Adaptation: Adapt writing for different media, including print, online, and social media platforms.
  • Stay Current: Keep up-to-date with industry trends, creative writing techniques, innovation in creativity, and content marketing best practices.
  • Presentations: Sell ideas to clients in a compelling and passionate manner that reflects your depth and professionalism as a brand guardian.
  • Meeting Deadlines: Complete writing assignments within specified deadlines.

EDUCATION AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • A bachelor's degree in marketing, mass communication, linguistics (English), or a related field. Candidates with qualifications in non-related fields are welcome to apply provided they have proven work experience in advertising/branding/media agencies.
  • Proven experience in creative copywriting and campaign development, with minimum 3 years’ experience at an established advertising/branding/media agency with a strong creative portfolio that demonstrates your ability to create compelling creative campaigns. Awards are a plus.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of grammar and style.
  • Creative thinking and the ability to develop fresh, imaginative ideas.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
  • Preferably with knowledge of SEO best practices and a track record of improving search engine rankings through content.
  • Proficiency in using industry-standard writing and editing tools.
