A well-established law firm in Kuala Lumpur seeks a Conveyancing Lawyer to manage real estate transactions, oversee compliance with legal requirements, and draft necessary documentation. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor of Laws degree, at least 5 years of relevant experience, and strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia. · To manage real estate transactions for both commercial and residential properties (both sub-sale and projects) and ensure compliance with legal requirements and contract terms.
· To handle and manage all loan documentation for financing and refinancing
· Review and draft contracts and other conveyancing documents.
· Coordinate with clients, real estate agents and other parties involved in the transaction.
· Advise clients in connection with conveyancing matters and attend signing with clients.
· Follow up with banks, developers, government bodies/agencies and related parties.
· Ensure compliance with all relevant procedures, timelines, laws and regulations
· Monitor and follow up closely the progress for all ongoing files.
· To attend to all tenancies and estate matters and be able to attend Court matters pertaining to these matters
· Experience in handling litigation matters especially real estate & housing project management would be an added advantage
· Preparing legal opinion, and conducting research on all legal and related matters.
· To assist litigation department in legal research, court filings, drafting of cause papers, getting involved in getting-up for hearings and trials, and appearing in court etc
· To attend case management, court hearings, trials and meetings independently.
· To ensure all legal work meets professional, ethical and form standards.
· Able to work independently and professionally
Qualifications and Requirements: -
· Possess Bachelor of Laws degree and current Practicing Certificate.
· Minimum 5 years of working experience as practicing lawyer in conveyancing (and litigation).
· Good command of written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia. Ability to speak Mandarin would be an added advantage.
· Possess good attitude, willing to learn and take responsibility, good communication skills and able to work as a team.
· Manage time well and able to meet deadline and take job seriously and professionally and come to work on time.
· Attention to details and ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously.
