Job summary

A leading construction company in Malaysia is seeking a Contracts Manager responsible for the full spectrum of contract administration from pre-contract to post-contract stages. The ideal candidate will have over 12 years of experience in contract management in the construction industry, with a strong emphasis on negotiation and compliance. Knowledge of PAM and FIDIC standards is required. This role will involve close collaboration with project teams to ensure timely project delivery.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience in pre/post contract management in construction industry.
  • Data Center construction project experience is a Big Plus.
  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with PAM and FIDIC contract forms.

CONSTRUCTION DIVISION (SITE BASED)

  • Lead the full spectrum of contract administration from pre-contract to post-contract stages.
  • Prepare, review and negotiate contract terms and conditions to ensure alignment with project objectives and risk mitigation.
  • Manage contractual correspondence, claims, variations, orders (VO) and extensions of time (EOT) in accordance with PAM/FIDIC standards.
  • Coordinate procurement strategy and contract awarding processes.
  • Work closely with project team, subcontractors and external consultants to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and timely project delivery.
  • Provide contractual advice and risk assessments to project stakeholders and management.
  • Ensure cost and commercial control throughout the project including budgeting, forecasting and cost reporting.
  • Represent the company in contractual discussions, dispute resolution and negotiations with clients, consultants and subcontractors when required.
  • Maintain accurate contract records and documentation in line with legal and company requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in pre/post contract management in construction industry.
  • Data Center construction project experience is a Big Plus.
  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with PAM and FIDIC contract forms.
