Job summary

Irkaz Holdings in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a dedicated Quantity Surveyor to support contract administration, cost control, and commercial coordination on government projects. You will prepare progress and subcontractor claims, variation orders, and project reports.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, with at least 2 years’ experience in a contractor, and can work independently to meet deadlines. Own transport and driving licence are an advantage.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as QS in contractor company.
• Familiar with government project contract management and procedures.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Possess own transport and valid driving license will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare progress claims, subcontractor claims, and variation orders.
• Monitor project costing, budget control, and material usage.
• Prepare quantity take-off and cost estimation.
• Coordinate with site team, consultants, subcontractors, and clients on contract and commercial matters.
• Review contract documents and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Prepare project reports and related documentation.
• Assist in procurement and evaluation of quotations from suppliers/subcontractors.
• Handle final account preparation and contract administration matters.
