Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to manage and support contract manufacturers for production activities, ensuring products are manufactured to drawings, specifications and quality requirements.

The role involves troubleshooting production problems, conducting root-cause analysis, improving process quality, yield and productivity, and collaborating with Quality, R&D, Production and Supply Chain teams.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical, or related Engineering.
• 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing, process engineering, or contract manufacturing.
• Experience working with suppliers or contract manufacturers is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality standards.
• Basic knowledge of root-cause analysis and problem-solving.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Able to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.
• Willing to travel to supplier/contract manufacturing sites when required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support contract manufacturers for production activities.
• Ensure products are manufactured according to drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
• Troubleshoot production and process problems.
• Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions. Improve production process, quality, yield, and productivity.
• Monitor production performance and manufacturing issues.
• Coordinate with Quality, R&D, Production, and Supply Chain teams.
• Review and maintain manufacturing documents and work instructions.
• Support engineering changes, tooling, fixtures, and equipment.
• Work with suppliers to reduce cost and improve efficiency.
