Job description

Contract Manager – Municipal Collections

Our client is seeking an experienced Contract Manager to lead a large frontline operational team delivering the municipal collections service (refuse, recycling and ancillary), and undertake operational programmes, projects and assignments as allocated.

Responsible for critical service delivery leadership, you will monitor the operations, ensuring a safe working environment, compliance with all legislation, regulations, financial and budgetary parameters. You will ensure that operations meet service KPIs, goals and contractual key measures in line with business and customer expectations, whilst demonstrating exemplary leadership.

The role requires the post holder to be a lateral thinker, action oriented, challenge existing practices to improve overall customer service whilst seeking value for money and long-term economic benefits for the business.

Essential Requirements for the Role:

  • Proven leadership abilities in diverse, challenging environments, inspiring and developing others to achieve business objectives
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience in managing complex employee relations and working with trade unions
  • Excellent literacy & analytical skills
  • Experience of delivering and managing organisational change

This is a full-time, permanent opportunity, working 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri - 7am – 3pm
