Job summary

A leading construction company in Malaysia seeks a Contracts Manager to oversee project contracts from pre-contract to post-completion. With responsibilities spanning document preparation, project costing, and procurement control, candidates should possess relevant qualifications and at least 5 years of experience in the construction industry.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial building construction.
• Ability to lead and work with minimum supervision.
• Well-versed in contract types: PAM, FIDIC, JKR, IEM.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Main and Sub-Contract documents including Bill of Quantities.
• Administer the construction standard contract and maintain accurate records.
• Participate in developing solicitation and writing all contractual correspondence.

1. Attending the Pre-contract, Post-contract, Final account, and certification management for projects.

2. To prepare Main and Sub-Contract documents including Bill of Quantities, Specification, and certificate for tender and ongoing projects.

3. To assist in preparing Pre-Qualification and update the Approved.

4. Costing planning and commercial management throughout the entire life cycle of the project from pre-contract to post-completion.

5. To prepare the project site budget and projected cash flow of projects.

6. Administer the construction standard contract, and maintain regular accurate contract records.

7. Participate in the development and implementation of contracts and administrative process improvement activities.

8. To make the schedules of construction projects which involves overseeing and managing progress from the stage of conception to the construction

9. To assist in value engineering to achieve optimum cost in compliance with the required quality.

10. Participating, as necessary, in developing the solicitation and writing of all contractual correspondence and documentation as well as documentation control of all contract correspondence.

11. Procurement control and strategy.

12. Assist in ISO audit and implementation.

13. Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements

1. Bachelor's Degree in Contract Management/Civil/Quantity Surveying or equivalent.

2. Minimum 5 years of working experience in industrial or commercial building construction as the main contractor.

3. Able to lead and work with minimum supervision.

4. Possess good communication and writing skills.

5. Well verse in Contract types ie. PAM, FIDIC, JKR, IEM & other.

6. Strong command of Malay， English， Mandarin & computer literate.

7. Possess own transport and willing to travel and work at sites.
