Job summary

A leading company in the manufacturing sector is seeking an experienced Continuous Improvement (CI) professional to lead projects aimed at optimizing processes. This role requires strong analytical skills and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, combined with at least five years of relevant industry experience in a fast-paced environment. The CI professional will collaborate with various factory stakeholders to implement Lean techniques, achieving tangible cost savings while staying updated with industry developments.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years experience in Process Optimization or Continuous Improvement in Manufacturing.
  • Experience in automation or digitalization is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with FMCG or Pharmaceutical industries preferred.

Job description

Experienced CI professional who is able to lead manufacturing improvement projects for improvement opportunities in a fast paced environment.

  • To identify & analyze existing manufacturing processes for improvement opportunities, then quantify the tangible and intangible benefits with recommended improvement actions based on data driven analytics; Thereafter, collaborate with project team members to plan and execute project to deliver the improvement.
  • To lead or support (eg: data collection, analytics, solution design and User Requirement Specifications definition) operational improvement projects working closely with factory stakeholders from Production, Maintenance, Quality and Engineering to deliver tangible cost savings thru application of Lean techniques.
  • Lead then deploy Lean tools as showcase to drive operational improvements eg: Root Cause Analysis thru 7QC Tools, leading/ facilitating Kaizen thru PDCA cycle, optimize Planned Downtime thru Time Motion Study and SMED.
  • Perform shopfloor Time Motion Study to gather, analyze then establish standards for Manufacturing Performance Management System.
  • Communicating improvement ideas and techniques to other members of Manufacturing Operations.
  • Staying up-to-date with developments in Manufacturing and process optimization.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Possess Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Manufacturing or Science.
  • Minimum 5 years working experience in Process Optimization/ Continuous Improvement/ Lean Six Sigma or Autonomous Maintenance functions within Manufacturing industry.
  • Experience in automation or digitalization is a strong advantage.
  • Experience in Food/ FMCG/ Pharmaceutical/ Chemical processing industry preferred.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced working environment.
