You will play a key role in developing ERM’s CPD business across Southeast Asia.

Our approach involves working with clients to identify environmental and social impacts and risks throughout the project lifecycle, from inception to closure, ensuring projects are planned, built, and operated to meet investor, regulator, and community expectations.

The ERM Malaysia/Brunei CPD team has grown significantly in the last 3 years, focusing on Oil and Gas, renewables such as solar projects, and end-of-life decommissioning projects. Many projects now include Biodiversity, Nature, and Social Performance services, reflecting our broad expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop the technical skills and competency of the CPD team.
  • Provide leadership to the team and clients.
  • Manage teams and project delivery to maintain service excellence.
  • Collaborate with Malaysia Leadership and other teams to develop client relationships and lead sales efforts.
  • Expand the portfolio of CPD opportunities.
  • Personally deliver sales from existing and new clients.

Job Requirements:

  • BSc, preferably MSc or similar, in Environmental Science/Engineering or related field.
  • At least 15 years of relevant experience in environmental impact assessment and management.
  • Fluent in English, both reporting and verbal communication.
  • Strong knowledge of sectors like Oil & Gas, Energy (including renewables), and infrastructure.
  • Good understanding of Malaysia/Brunei regulatory environment.
  • Knowledge of international standards such as World Bank Policies, IFC Performance Standards, ADB Safeguard Policies, and the Equator Principles.
  • Preferably registered with the Department of Environment (DOE) as an Environmental Consultant.
  • Willingness to travel within Malaysia/Brunei and potentially Southeast Asia.
  • Culturally adept.
