Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Logistics Coordinator in Kuala Lumpur to coordinate site logistics activities, manage deliveries, and ensure smooth construction progress.

The role requires a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 5 years of experience in construction logistics or site coordination, with exposure to high-tech or life sciences projects preferred. Strong planning, communication, and safety compliance skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction logistics, site coordination, or project support roles.
• Experience supporting Industrial, Semiconductor, Pharmaceutical, Data Centre, Manufacturing, Life Sciences, or High-Tech Facility projects is preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction site logistics, material handling, and access management.
• Familiarity with site safety requirements and logistics planning processes.
• Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate site logistics activities, including material deliveries, equipment movements, storage, and site access.
• Develop and maintain logistics plans, traffic management plans, and delivery schedules.
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers, vendors, and project teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
• Monitor site access, vehicle movements, laydown areas, and material storage locations.
• Coordinate crane utilization, lifting activities, and heavy equipment movements with stakeholders.
• Ensure logistics operations comply with project safety requirements, site regulations, and security procedures.
• Identify and mitigate logistics-related risks, delays, and site congestion issues.
• Track logistics performance and provide regular progress reports to project management.
• Support planning and coordination of temporary facilities, welfare areas, and site infrastructure.
• Facilitate communication between contractors and stakeholders to minimize disruptions and maintain construction schedules.
