Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a QA/QC Inspector to oversee quality on construction projects, ensuring compliance with codes, standards, QMS and QLASSIC requirements. You will assist the quality team and coordinate Inspection Requests (IRs) with consultants and clients.

The ideal candidate has a Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering or Quality Management and 2–3 years of QA/QC inspection experience, with the ability to read drawings and specs and liaise effectively with clients and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering, Quality Management or related field.
• 2–3 years of working experience in QA/QC inspection within the construction industry.
• Familiar with construction codes, standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g. CIDB, ISO, QLASSIC).
• Familiarity with Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), Method Statements, and QA/QC documentation.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, consultants and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee project quality to ensure compliance to codes, standards, regulations, QMS and QLASSIC requirements.
• Advancing quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization.
• Assist and support a quality team to establish work schedules to meet service standards
• Prepare and coordinate Inspection Requests (IRs) with consultants and clients.
• Identify quality issues, defects, and NCRs, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Ensure inspections and testing follow the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP).
• Identify and develop solutions to rectify function/process deficiencies.
• Maintain inspection records, reports, checklists, and quality documents.
• Verify that site materials are approved and supported by required certificates and test reports.
