Job summary

AGENSI PEKERJAAN GLOBAL HIRE SDN. BHD. is seeking a Government Relations & Public Affairs Executive (Construction) in Malaysia to support external affairs and government liaison for construction projects.

You will coordinate with authorities, prepare official correspondence, and engage with stakeholders across multiple teams. The role requires a diploma or bachelor’s degree and 2–5 years in Government Relations or related fields, with familiarity in construction/engineering sectors and Bahasa

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Corporate Communication, Public Relations, Construction Management, Engineering or related disciplines.
• 2–5 years of relevant working experience in Government Relations, Public Affairs, External Affairs, Corporate Affairs, Project Coordination or related functions is preferred.
• Experience in construction, engineering, infrastructure, property development or project-based industries will have an added advantage.
• Familiarity with dealing with government authorities, local councils and regulatory agencies in Malaysia will be an advantage.
• Experience in handling government submissions, permits, licences or project-related approvals will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Liaise and coordinate with relevant government authorities, local councils, regulatory bodies and industry agencies on company and project-related matters.
• Assist in following up on project-related applications, approvals, permits, licences and regulatory matters with relevant authorities.
• Establish and maintain professional relationships with government agencies, industry organisations, business partners and key external stakeholders.
• Coordinate meetings, official visits, project briefings and engagement activities involving government agencies and external stakeholders.
• Prepare and manage official letters, government correspondence, reports, presentations, meeting minutes and supporting documents.
• Work closely with project, engineering, commercial, legal and management teams to follow up on external and government-related matters.
• Monitor relevant construction regulations, government policies and regulatory developments that may affect the company's projects and operations.
• Support corporate events, stakeholder engagement and other public affairs activities when required.
