Job summary

Oracle in Kuala Lumpur seeks a Project Manager to lead on-site delivery for data center infrastructure, coordinating with design, procurement, commissioning, operations and contractors across base building, fit-out readiness, power, cooling, containment, controls and enabling works.

The role emphasizes site safety, quality, programme control, risk management and a smooth handover, ensuring compliance with designs, requirements and local regulations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering data center construction and/or mission-critical infrastructure in a site leadership role.
• Strong understanding of MEP/critical systems construction and construction-to-commissioning handover.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple contractors in high-pressure environments.
• Strong QA/QC discipline and documentation capability (ITPs, inspections, NCRs, closeout).
• Competency with project/document platforms such as Aconex, Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, SharePoint, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site construction delivery for AI / high-density infrastructure (base build and fit-out readiness, power, cooling, containment, enabling works).
• Manage contractors and vendors across CSA/MEP, controls/BMS, fire, security, and specialist packages.
• Drive construction workflows: RFIs, submittals, ITPs, inspections, NCRs, punch lists, progressive turnover, closeout.
• Coordinate sequencing and interfaces across trades to protect milestones and remove constraints quickly.
• Own site readiness and logistics: access control, permits, RAMS, workface planning, cleanliness/controlled environments (as required).
• Drive commissioning readiness with commissioning/ops teams: test readiness, evidence packs, redlines/as-builts, and turnover requirements.
• Maintain strong reporting cadence: daily/weekly progress, look-aheads, constraints, and escalation items.

The Project Manager, Data Center Facilities Development provides day-to-day, on-site leadership for data center infrastructure delivery in Kuala Lumpur. Working with design, procurement, commissioning, operations, contractors, and specialist vendors, the role oversees construction execution across base building, fit-out readiness, power, cooling, containment, controls, security, and enabling works.

The position is accountable for site safety, quality assurance, programme and milestone control, contractor coordination, risk management, and issue resolution. The Project Manager ensures work is delivered in accordance with approved designs, project requirements, and local regulations, while managing the construction-to-commissioning transition and supporting a smooth final handover.

What we’re looking for (must-have)

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple contractors in high-pressure, high-dependency environments.
• Strong QA/QC discipline and documentation capability (ITPs, inspections, NCRs, closeout).
• Competency with project/document platforms such as Aconex, Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, SharePoint , or similar, plus solid MS Office skills.
• Must be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Nice to have

• High-density / AI-ready exposure (tight power/cooling constraints, accelerated fit-outs, compressed commissioning windows).
• Trade background or engineering/construction qualification; safety leadership credentials
