Job summary

B.Grimm Power (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd seeks a Safety Manager to lead HSE management for the 750 MW CCGT project in Perlis, Malaysia, during the construction phase. The role ensures compliance with Malaysian OSH regulations and project standards while coordinating with EPC contractors to maintain a safe working environment.

You will implement safety plans, conduct inspections and audits, organize HSE training, and investigate incidents to drive continuous safety improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 8 years in business development, project management, or related role in renewable energy.
• Strong knowledge of renewable energy technologies and industry trends.
• Established network within renewable energy sector.
• Proven negotiation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement the Project HSE Management Plan.
• Ensure compliance with Malaysian OSH regulations and project standards.
• Monitor EPC contractor compliance with contract HSE requirements.
• Conduct site safety inspections and audits (Weekly, Monthly).
• Identify unsafe acts and unsafe conditions and initiate corrective actions.
• Monitor Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems.
• Verify risk assessments before commencement of work.
• Participate in constructability reviews from an HSE perspective.
• Organize HSE training for project team staff.
