About the role

Reporting to the Project Manager, this full-time Construction Environmental Specialist role is responsible for ensuring environmental compliance and sustainable practices on construction sites managed by LSH Global Enterprise Sdn Bhd in Bayan Lepas, Penang. As a key member of the HSE team, you will play a critical part in upholding the company's commitment to environmental protection and minimizing the impact of its construction activities.

What you'll be doing

Developing, implementing and monitoring environmental management plans for construction projects

Conducting environmental risk assessments and providing recommendations to mitigate risks

Ensuring compliance with all relevant environmental regulations, laws and company policies

Liaising with regulatory authorities and obtaining necessary environmental permits and approvals

Providing training and guidance to construction teams on environmental best practices

Monitoring and reporting on environmental performance metrics

Identifying opportunities for improvement and driving sustainability initiatives

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation

What we're looking for

Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or a related field

Minimum 5 years' experience as a Construction Environmental Specialist or Environmental Consultant

Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, policies and best practices in the construction industry

Proficient in conducting environmental impact assessments, monitoring and reporting

Excellent problem-solving, decision-making and project management skills

Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
