Job Purpose
- Develop Security culture and awareness in Sime Darby Property
- Collaborative effort in resolving the current security issues within the Division’s townships and assets.
Job Responsibilities
- To do surveillance and safety observation and ensure the situation at main lobby/entrance/exit is always in good condition.
- Assist to perform registration procedures of contractors and visitors.
- To register and monitor vehicle entering and leaving the Township;
- All visitors to be scrutinized and inform residents before allowing them into Township;
- To not leave post at any time unless replaced;
- If necessary, to stop and check suspicious person or vehicles at entry and exit points. This action can only be done within area of township’s responsibility and with courteous and politeness;
- To prevent unauthorized person from entering or trespassing into restricted areas; supervision to the various APs assigned to the SDP assets and townships.
Patrolling
- To provide 24 hours patrolling within the perimeter of Township;
- To conduct patrolling service in a manner to show of force and to present as a deterrence of crime prevention;
- Patrolling members must be alert during patrolling in detecting any situation, which need checking;
- This patrol team is also act as Emergency Respond Team (ERT), which is required to respond to any emergency respond in the township/area of responsibilities;
- To assist required person in the township for emergency only if it occur in common area;
- To record and monitor all Contractors doing renovation;
Others
- To register all information and report all activities in the Daily Patrol Log Book;
- To ensure that the site/premise is protected from intrusion, theft, fire, sabotage and vandalism;
- To control and secure an area of any accident or incident while waiting and before handing over to responsible bodies/ relevant authorities;
- To contact the relevant authorities when or after securing an area of accident or incident to notify TCS personnel / Head of Township immediately on any incident;
- To notify TCS personnel / Head of Township immediately on any accident or incident;
- To provide traffic controls when necessary, during peak hours or when the situation needed;
- To portray SDPB’s image, APs are required to be courteous, helpful and polite and extend friendship to residence of visitors to township;
- In long term, it is an added advantage for Aps to know the residence by names in order to provide better relationships;
- To respond to emergency or assistance requested by TCS personnel / Head of Township within 15 minutes from the time to call;
- At all time, MPV vehicle not permitted to venture outside of township area/ area of responsibility or use for personnel usage.
Community
- Responsible for community protection and maintenance of security and order at all the SDP assets.
- Recognize community needs and concerns.
- Enhances community trust between the Division and residents by developing and nurturing rapport with the community.
- Manages community outreach and public safety while creating opportunities for positive SDP/community interactions.
Education/Professional Qualification
- Minimum qualification SPM
Professional Experience
- Auxiliary Police Basic Training at PULAPOL
