Job summary

Hong Leong Bank Malaysia is seeking a senior Compliance and Operational Risk professional to uphold a robust 1st Line of Defense. You will enforce regulatory and internal standards, advise on Shariah requirements for the PFS portfolio, and lead risk assessment and training initiatives across teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in regulatory compliance and Shariah requirements.
• Ability to design and deliver compliance training programs.
• Strong understanding of risk management and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enforce compliance frameworks aligned with regulations and internal guidelines.
• Advise PFS portfolio on regulatory, compliance, and Shariah requirements.
• Lead and monitor the compliance review plan and self-assessments.
• Ensure timely submission of regulatory reports and manage information requests.
• Track breaches, escalate to senior management and Group Compliance, and coordinate audits.
• Contribute to horizon scanning and interpret new laws affecting PFS; propose process changes.
• Deliver customized training to PFS heads and team members to strengthen compliance culture.
