About the Role:We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Compliance & Operations Manager to join our team in Labuan, Malaysia. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in regulatory compliance and operational management within the financial services or brokerage industry. This role will be pivotal in ensuring our business activities are conducted in full compliance with all regulatory requirements, while also overseeing the day-to-day operational functions of the office.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure full compliance with Labuan Financial Services Authority (LFSA) regulations and relevant Malaysian financial laws and regulations.
- Serve as the main liaison with regulatory bodies, auditors, and internal departments on all compliance and licensing matters.
- Develop, implement, and maintain effective compliance programs and policies.
- Monitor business activities to identify potential compliance risks and recommend corrective actions.
- Manage internal audits, risk assessments, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Oversee daily operational workflows, ensuring efficient client onboarding, transaction processing, and back-office support.
- Maintain AML/CFT policies, conduct regular KYC reviews, and oversee suspicious transaction reporting.
- Work closely with the legal, finance, and senior management teams to support business growth while mitigating regulatory risks.
- Train and guide staff on compliance policies and regulatory updates.
Requirements:- Minimum 5 years of proven experience in compliance and/or operations within a regulated financial services firm (preferably Forex, investment, or brokerage).
- Strong knowledge of LFSA regulations, AML/CFT frameworks, and international financial compliance standards.
- Familiarity with operational functions such as client onboarding, documentation, payment processing, and risk control.
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business, or related field (compliance certifications are a plus).
- Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
- Candidates must be based in or willing to relocate to Labuan, and have relevant work authorization in Malaysia.
Preferred:- Experience in managing or setting up compliance functions in a Forex or international brokerage firm.
- Certifications such as ICA, CAMS, or other compliance-related qualifications.
