Job summary

Upright Talent in Malaysia is seeking a compliance-focused professional to strengthen the Group’s compliance programme, follow up on audit findings, and conduct reviews to identify risks. The role involves assessing operations for compliance gaps and guiding staff on regulatory matters to ensure timely corrective actions.

Ideal candidates will have experience in internal or external audits, and compliance, with knowledge of regulations; sustainability or risk management experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in internal audit, external audit, compliance or a similar role
• Basic knowledge of compliance, audit and relevant regulations
• Experience in sustainability or risk management is an added advantage
• Willing to travel and stay at plantation sites when required

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Group's compliance programme
• Follow up on audit findings and ensure corrective actions are completed on time
• Conduct compliance reviews to identify risks and areas for improvement
• Assess business operations for potential compliance risks
• Provide compliance training and guidance to employees
• Work with auditors and consultants on compliance matters
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Management from time to time
