Job summary

HATA is seeking an intern to support our compliance efforts in the cryptocurrency space. You will learn about AML, CTF, and CPF policies while gaining hands-on experience managing compliance operations.

You will report to the Compliance Officer and Legal Counsel, with mentorship from our CEO. We welcome students and professionals at various stages of their journey who are eager to contribute and grow in fintech.

Qualifications

• Strong English writing and communication skills are required.
• Familiarity with compliance concepts in crypto is a plus.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-changing industry.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and across functions.

Responsibilities

• Review customer onboarding documents for individuals and entities.
• Review alerts from the transaction monitoring system.
• Maintain organized records of compliance reviews and decisions.
• Update internal compliance logs and documentation trackers.
• Prepare internal compliance reports and data for regulatory reporting.
• Support general compliance operations and administrative tasks.

Get to know the role

We're looking for passionate, eager-to-learn interns with strong written English skills to support our compliance efforts in the cryptocurrency space.

As an intern, you will learn about the importance of compliance frameworks, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Counter-Terrorism Financing (CTF), and Counter-Proliferation Financing (CPF) policies. You will also gain hands-on experience in compliance operations related to DAXs, understanding how to operate the platform in a fully compliant manner. You will report to the Compliance Officer and Legal Counsel, with mentorship opportunities from our CEO, who is happy to provide references for future career opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in reviewing customer onboarding documents for individuals and entities.
• Assist in reviewing alerts flagged by the transaction monitoring system.
• Maintain accurate and organized records of compliance reviews and decisions.
• Support in updating internal compliance logs and documentation trackers.
• Assist in preparing internal compliance reports and compiling data for regulatory reporting purposes..
• Perform other administrative or operational tasks as required by the compliance team.

Ideal candidates will have

Background

• Pursuing or holding a degree in Law / Business and Management / Finance / or other related degrees
• Relevant educational background or prior working experience in compliance, risk management, or financial regulations is a plus.
• Strong English proficiency with strong communication and writing skills are required.
• Genuine interest in and passion for the cryptocurrency and blockchain space.
• Basic understanding of cryptocurrency concepts, trends, and technologies is a plus.

• Familiarity with compliance frameworks and regulatory standards related to cryptocurrency is an advantage.
• Prior experience is valued, but a strong willingness to learn and adapt in a rapidly changing environment is key.
