Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in compliance or risk management.

Responsibilities

Job description

As aCompliance Executivein I REIT Managers Sdn. Bhd., the management company (“Manager”) of AME Real Estate Investment Trust (“AME REIT”) which is listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad, you will be responsible for ensuring the Manager’s adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies in managing the corporate affairs of the Manager and in managing AME REIT.

Your primary focus will be on maintaining and enhancing compliance frameworks, conducting risk assessments, implementing compliance programs, and providing guidance to the organisation or Board of Directors of Manager on compliance matters relating to Manager and in managing AME REIT.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams of the Manager, including legal, finance, operations, and external stakeholders, to ensure a culture of compliance and mitigate any potential risks

Responsibilities:

  • To assist the Compliance Officer to manage corporate affairs of Compliance Department of the Manager.
  • To assist in preparing Directors’ Resolutions, Minutes, Statutory Forms, Annual Returns and other compliance documents.
  • To assist in developing, implementing, and managing compliance policies, procedures, and frameworks in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • To monitor and analyse changes in relevant laws, regulations, and industry practices to ensure the Manager’s compliance programs are up-to-date.
  • To maintain the relevant compliance registers, documentation, and records to ensure accurate and up-to-date information is readily available.
  • To liaise with external regulatory bodies, auditors, legal advisors, and other relevant stakeholders on compliance matters.
  • To stay informed about industry trends, regulatory developments, and emerging compliance risks that may impact the Manager and AME REIT.
  • To assist in corporate secretarial matters that may be assigned from time to time from management.
  • Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time from management.

Education Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • CGI (ICSA) qualification (Pursuing/Graduate), Associate Member of MAICSA. Those with professional company secretarial experiences will also be give consideration.
  • Minimum 1 – 3 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or a similar role within the financial services, professional company secretarial or real estate industry.
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

Skills:

  • Good in MS Office – Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Good understanding of Companies Act 2016.
  • Familiar with Bursa Malaysia Main Market Listing Requirements, Malaysian Code on Corporate Governance 2021, Capital Markets and Services Act 2007 and AML/CFT are added advantages.
  • Familiar with authority’s platform/secretarial software such as MyCOID, MBRS, SC EasySystem, SC ComRep, Viewpoint are added advantages.
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia. Proficiency in both spoken and written Mandarin is an advantage.
  • Positive work attitude with strong initiative and a team player.
  • Meticulous, detailed and deadline oriented.
  • Independent, self-motivated, and possesses good interpersonal skills.
