Role Overview

As the Compensation & Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for owning Rapsodo’s global payroll processes and working closely with our HR Business Partners to develop and optimize compensation strategies. You will play a key role in analyzing compensation data, providing strategic insights, and enhancing systems to ensure efficient and compliant payroll management. This position is ideal for someone with at least 1 year of experience in payroll and compensation, who has mastery in Excel and is familiar with compensation data from Mercer, Gallup, and Willis Towers Watson.

Key Responsibilities

Ownership of Payroll Processing:

  • Manage end-to-end payroll for Rapsodo’s global operations, ensuring all payroll activities are accurate, timely, and compliant with regional tax regulations.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners to align payroll data with compensation strategies, ensuring consistency and compliance with local labor laws.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and ensure data accuracy throughout the payroll cycle, utilizing systems such as Infotech, Gusto, and KolayIK to streamline processes and enhance accuracy.

Compensation Analysis & Reporting:

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of compensation data, including salary benchmarking, internal pay equity, and market comparisons using industry-standard resources such as Mercer, Gallup, and Willis Towers Watson.
  • Prepare and present compensation reports, providing insights into trends, pay structures, and budget impacts for HR leadership and business units.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners to optimize and review compensation packages that align with Rapsodo’s business goals.

HR Systems & Data Optimization:

  • Manage and optimize HR systems (Infotech, Gusto, KolayIK etc.) to ensure data integrity and smooth integration between systems.
  • Utilize advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.) to analyze large datasets, generate reports, and provide compensation insights.
  • Identify opportunities to automate and improve payroll and compensation processes, increasing efficiency and minimizing errors.

Compliance & Process Improvement:

  • Ensure compliance with payroll and compensation regulations in all regions, staying current with any changes in labor laws.
  • Drive continuous improvements in compensation processes, focusing on efficiency, automation, and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Use data insights to support business decisions and contribute to Rapsodo’s long-term compensation strategy.
Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of experience in payroll management and compensation, with exposure to Infotech and Gusto.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Humanities and/or Social Sciences (e.g., Philosophy, Sociology, Anthropology, History) with a strong understanding of both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and other advanced functions.
  • Familiarity with compensation data and benchmarking tools from established research firms such as Mercer, Gallup, and Willis Towers Watson.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive actionable insights from data.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to manage large datasets accurately.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with diverse teams.
