Job summary

A corporate service provider in Kuala Lumpur is looking for a Senior Executive in Company Secretarial. The ideal candidate will have CGI (ICSA) qualification, at least 2 years of relevant experience, and be well-versed in the Companies Act 2016. Responsibilities include drafting statutory documents, liaising with clients and regulatory authorities, maintaining statutory books, and attending board meetings. Fluency in English and Mandarin is preferred, and computer literacy is required. This role demands strong organizational skills under pressure, ensuring compliance with relevant laws.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of working experience in corporate secretarial work, preferably in a senior role.
  • Preferred candidates are those with experience working in publicly listed companies.
  • Well versed with the Companies Act 2016, Listing Requirements of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad.

Responsibilities

  • Draft statutory resolutions, minutes, forms, annual returns, and Bursa Securities announcements.
  • Provide relevant corporate secretarial support to the company's clients.
  • Liaise with clients and authorities regarding company secretarial matters.
  • Prepare board papers and attend meetings, preparing agendas and minutes.
  • Maintain and update statutory books and records in compliance with relevant laws.

Able to meet deadlines, willing to work under pressure and ensure group’s compliance with the relevant laws or regulations

Strong command of English (oral and written). Fluency in Mandarin or other language is an added advantage

Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently

Draft statutory resolutions, minutes, forms, annual returns, and Bursa Securities announcements

Provide relevant corporate secretarial support to the company's clients and meet deadlines with minimal supervision

Liaise with clients, the Companies Commission of Malaysia, Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad, the Securities Commission, and all other relevant authorities regarding company secretarial matters

Prepare board papers, attend Board meetings, Committee Meetings, Annual General Meetings, Extraordinary General Meetings, etc., and prepare agendas and minutes for these meetings

Maintain and update statutory books and records in compliance with the Companies Act 2016, Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad’s Listing Requirements, and any other relevant acts, rules, regulations, and guidelines of governing authorities and bodies

Job Requirements:

Possess CGI (ICSA) qualification

At least 2 years of working experience in corporate secretarial work, preferably in a senior role.

Preferred candidates are those with experience working in publicly listed companies.

Well versed with the Companies Act 2016, Listing Requirements of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad, etc

Computer literate (Microsoft word, excel) as well as familiar with MyCoID, MBRS and Bursa Link Announcement Templates.

Candidate who can speak local dialects such as Bahasa Melayu, English and Mandarin will have an added advantages.
