A leading company in home furnishings, IKEA is looking for a Community Engagement & Influencer Specialist to enhance brand representation and community interaction across social platforms. The role involves developing influencer partnerships, managing community content, and ensuring all communications resonate authentically with local audiences. The purpose of the Community Engagement & Influencer Specialist role at IKEA is to build and strengthen digital communities and content creators that authentically represent the IKEA brand, drive engagement, and grow brand affinity across social platforms. This role is responsible as Glocalization Content Lead (Merge of Global + Local) developing influencer partnerships, supporting PR on activating community-led content or activities, and creating culturally relevant conversations that position IKEA as a brand loved by the many. To bridge IKEA design philosophy with Malaysian living realities, curate unexpected linkage between global trends and local creators, making IKEA the hub for cross-cultural inspiration. Exposure to international trends, untapped content formats, and cross-cultural storytelling techniques that can help IKEA Malaysia stand out in a saturated market. By connecting brand purpose with real voices, from everyday Malaysians to lifestyle creators, the specialist will help drive reach, relevance, and advocacy through Identify trends from other markets (e.g., Japan’s minimalist micro-homes, other countries’ sustainability ethos) and adapt them for Malaysian audiences in innovative ways.
