To grow community businesses around the branch, providing financial services to SME. Establish a relationship with the businesses and provide a better customer experience to this segment of branch customers to improve branch profitability and sales performance.

Functional (job responsibilities):

1. Grow the Existing to Bank (ETB) SME base of retail community businesses (Sole Prop, Partnerships, or Sdn Bhds with Annual Sales Turnover (AST) of below RM 50m) to increase product holdings and profitability.
2. Bring in New to Bank (NTB) customers to the branch via community business visitations, roadshows, or other branch-based sales activities.
3. Utilize leads provided by HQ as a source for acquiring NTB SME customers.
4. Acquire NTB customers or grow profitability of ETB customers through a variety of products such as merchant services, deposit accounts, secured loans (HP, Mortgage, OD on FD), unsecured products (Business Cash Loans), and BANCA.
5. Focus on growing ETB CASA balances, including providing after-sales support like setting up digital platforms (Connect FIRST) for online payments and payroll, facilitating business transition to Hong Leong’s online platform.
6. Understand SME lending requirements to evaluate, acquire, and submit loan applications for the segment.
7. Work closely with Branch Managers and Area Managers to develop segment penetration and profitability.
8. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and sales regulations related to FSA, KYC, AMLA, and internal policies.
9. Serve as the SME content expert for the branch and act as a conduit between HQ and the sales team.
10. Partner with the branch manager to enhance SME sales competency.

Education/Qualification:

• Minimum recognized Diploma or Degree.
• Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook.

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years in sales experience, or
• Minimum 2 years in SME lending (products, business evaluation, basic financial analysis), or
• Minimum 3 years in sales experience.
