More about the role

We’re looking for a Commodity Manager Warehousing Asia who’ll be responsible for supply management, driving sourcing and negotiations in the area of physical distribution with a focus on warehousing and value-added logistics services with the aim to optimize total cost of ownership and create agile and scalable supply chains for businesses and markets. You’ll be part of the Global Procurement Freight & Distribution team.

What you’ll do

  • Optimize the sourcing strategy on the basis of total cost of ownership in alignment with business requirements and develop sustainable supplier relationships.
  • Execute strategic tender processes and lead the negotiations process including the facilitation of the decision-making process among internal stakeholders.
  • Cost management by driving cost reduction programs through benchmarking and process optimization.
  • Negotiate contract terms and conditions with suppliers.
  • Develop and maintain effective supplier relationship and internal stakeholder management.
  • Develop and implement strategies for cost reduction, quality improvement, and supplier development
  • Drive the business review process with suppliers to ensure that market trends, supplier performance and the future business needs are aligned.
  • Monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
    Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure commodity performance
  • Actively support with supply market intelligence thru your knowledge, curiosity and expertise in the area of Freight and Distribution.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective inventory management strategies.

An ambitious and experienced candidate, with the right combination of competencies, experience and potential to grow. You bring the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in commodity management, procurement, or supply chain management
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in warehousing and transportation regulations and compliance
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and supply chain management software
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin


Travelling approximately 25% (regionally).

The location of this position will be in Kuala Lumpur.
