Responsibilities:
- Execute three to five-year plans & objectives.
- Develop and implement strategies for high-value commodities, focusing on quality, cost, and delivery.
- Lead projects or programs on a regional or national level, providing guidance to ensure objectives are met.
- Set tactical plans to achieve goals within established standards and policies.
- Drive continuous improvement, resolve problems, and standardize processes.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Lead global bidding initiatives, support pricing strategies, and negotiate contracts.
- Analyze market, pricing, and supplier data to inform strategic decisions.
- Manage supplier relationships, performance, and supply continuity.
- Coordinate with internal teams on commodity plans and related systems.
- Act as the primary interface with suppliers for negotiations and relationship management.
- Track and report performance metrics regularly.
- Manage critical shortages and develop strategies for constrained commodities.
- Mentor and develop training plans for new employees.
Typical Education
Requirements:
- 5-7 years of experience in the Semiconductor Industry.
- Understanding of AP culture.
- Experience in contract negotiation, inventory programs, and supplier development.
- Skills in problem resolution and conflict management.
- Mechanical Engineering background preferred.
- Knowledge of global supply chain trends and strategic commodities.
- Strong engineering and financial analysis skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- High integrity and professionalism.
- Ability to challenge the status quo and implement continuous improvements.
- Strong relationship-building skills with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently with responsibility and urgency.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Desire to learn and handle dynamic challenges.
- Position may be performed remotely.
- Extended sitting and visual concentration may be required.
- Frequent overnight travel is expected.
