Responsibilities:
- Execute three to five-year plans & objectives.
- Develop and implement strategies for high-value commodities, focusing on quality, cost, and delivery.
- Lead projects or programs on a regional or global scale, providing guidance to teams to meet quality, delivery, and cost targets.
- Set tactical plans to achieve goals within policies, standards, and timelines, ensuring quality of work.
- Drive continuous improvement, analyze data to resolve problems, and standardize processes.
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders, negotiating and persuading effectively.
- Lead global bidding initiatives, supporting pricing strategies and processes.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and monitor supplier performance to ensure supply continuity.
- Analyze market and supplier data, managing complex commodities in a dynamic environment.
- Ensure timely execution of commodity plans, including supplier evaluation and relationship management.
- Manage supplier relationships, contract negotiations, and performance reviews.
- Track and report performance metrics regularly.
- Handle critical shortages, develop strategies for constrained commodities, and represent the site in related systems changes.
- Assist in training and mentoring new employees.
Typical Education and Requirements
Requirements:
- 5-7 years experience in the Semiconductor Industry.
- Understanding of AP culture.
- Experience in contract negotiation, inventory programs, and supplier development.
- Problem-solving and conflict management skills.
- Mechanical Engineering background preferred.
- Knowledge of global supply chain trends and strategic commodity management.
- Strong engineering and financial analysis skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- High integrity and ability to challenge the status quo.
- Strong negotiation skills and relationship-building abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Willingness to learn and handle dynamic challenges.
- This role may be performed remotely and may require extended sitting and visual concentration.
- Frequent overnight travel required.
