Detailed Description

Responsibilities:

• Executes three to five-year plans & objectives.
• Maintains responsibility for development and execution of strategies for strategic and/or high-dollar commodities, focusing on quality, price/value determination, and timely delivery.
• Leads projects or programs on a multi-functional, national, or regional basis; may guide work groups or project teams, or provide expert advice to ensure quality, delivery, and cost objectives are met.
• Sets tactical plans to achieve goals within established standards, policies, and timelines; ensures quality of work.
• Drives continuous improvements, leads problem resolution, develops plans and solutions, and standardizes processes.
• Builds cross-functional relationships, negotiates, persuades, and tactfully gains support from suppliers and customers.
• Establishes and drives global bidding initiatives, supports pricing strategies and processes.
• Negotiates pricing, terms & conditions globally, monitors supplier performance, and ensures supply continuity.
• Conducts strategic market analysis, manages complex commodities in a dynamic environment.
• Ensures timely execution of commodity plans, supplier analysis, development, and relationship management.
• Acts as primary interface with suppliers for relationship management, contract negotiations, performance reviews, and business development.
• Tracks and reports on performance metrics regularly.
• May manage critical shortages, develop strategies for constrained commodities, and represent the site in related system changes.
• Assists in training and mentoring new employees.

Requirements:

• At least 5-7 years in the Semiconductor Industry.
• Deep understanding of AP culture.
• Experience in negotiating contracts, stocking programs, lead time reduction, and supplier development.
• Problem resolution and conflict management skills.
• Mechanical Engineering background preferred.
• Knowledge of global supply chain trends and strategic commodities.
• Strong engineering and financial analysis knowledge.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• High integrity and ability to challenge the status quo.
• Strong relationship-building skills with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work independently with responsibility and urgency.
• Effective negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint.
• Willingness to learn and handle dynamic challenges.
• Position may be remote; extended sitting and visual concentration required; frequent travel.

Typical Experience

• Six to eight years relevant experience.

Typical Education

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience; requirements may vary by geography.
