Report to the Commodity Management Director. The roles and responsibilities of this position will encompass leading the Build to Print commodities for Celestica's Advanced Technology and Computing Cloud Solution segment, primarily focusing on supplier quality performance, supplier qualification management, localization, and strategic source control management. Accountable and responsible for driving and meeting company priorities and objectives, aligned with the company's core values.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for global commodity engineering related to Build to Print (BTP) parts, including plastic injection, metal, complex machining, thermal technology, liquid cooling, power supply, PCB, connector, cable harness, hardware, fluidic, and automation technology.
  • Lead a team to ensure compliance, develop skills and knowledge.
  • Perform supplier qualification and quality system audits in various standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 13485, AS9100, ISO 14001, etc.
  • Manage supplier quality performance and drive continuous improvements.
  • Oversee localization activities and supplier FAI part qualification.
  • Support RFQ processes, cost reduction, and MVP activities.
  • Analyze quality data statistically to maintain supplier quality and identify improvement opportunities (DPPM, DMAIC).
  • Address internal and external quality issues promptly.
  • Drive supplier performance management to meet targets.
  • Lead project management teams to meet timelines and cost objectives.
  • Ensure achievement of KPIs and alignment with company-wide goals.
  • Perform any other duties related to department requirements.

Requirements:

  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate across functions.
  • Strong experience interfacing with international sites and suppliers.
  • Good business acumen and experience in total quality management.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards, IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, IPC standards, GDT, PPAP, and FAIR activities.
  • Deep knowledge of complex mechanical BTP products and hyperscaler platform systems.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with experience in supplier cost reduction and strategic sourcing.
  • Proven track record of supplier quality improvement, with knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25%.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field; higher degrees preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, quality management, or SCM, or equivalent combination of experience.
