Job summary:

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add Commodity Analyst located in Bukit Minyak, Penang.

Here is a glimpse of what you'll do:

  • Responsible for the development, recommendation, and execution of optimal sourcing strategies for certain items.
  • Develop a technical, statistical, and fundamental assessment for each commodity.
  • Lead cash negotiations and secure advantageous commercial agreements with approved suppliers.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions for annual and multi-year purchase commitments.
  • Coordinate selection of transportation modes and carriers to lower delivered costs while ensuring quality supply, flexibility, and long-term vendor relationships.
  • Manage inventories associated with strategic commodities to prevent additional expenses or shortages.
  • Analyze commodity risk positions reported to multiple organizational levels.
  • Develop plans for cost savings, synergies, quality improvements, and supply chain efficiencies.
  • Analyze hedge effectiveness and calculate cost savings and avoidance.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Typically requires a minimum of 5 years experience in materials or related field.
  • A background in electronics manufacturing is desired.
