Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to lead and oversee commissioning activities across multiple data center construction projects in the APAC region. This role involves managing external vendors and consultants, ensuring compliance with commissioning standards, and driving quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle—from design review to final handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning programs for new builds, retrofits, and expansion projects.
• Oversee the full commissioning process: vendor onboarding, workshops, FAT/SAT, issue resolution, and project close-out.
• Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including project managers, engineers, and QA/QC personnel.
• Maintain and manage commissioning documentation and reporting systems.
• Conduct regular site inspections and manage commissioning meetings and KPIs.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Proven experience in data center commissioning or related engineering roles.
• Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems (UPS, generators, chillers, BMS, etc.).
• Skilled in developing commissioning plans, test scripts, and technical documentation.
• Effective communicator with strong project management capabilities.
• Able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in data center commissioning, operations, or facility maintenance.
• Travel required across APAC/EMEA for site visits and inspections
• Language proficiency in Mandarin/Chinese
• Based in Johor, Malaysia
