Job Description: Commis II at Hilton

What will I be doing?
  • Prepare, cook, and bake food in designated kitchen areas following recipes and standards.
  • Support the Sous Chef or Chef de Partie to ensure smooth kitchen operations and prompt service.
  • Plan and prepare high-quality food and beverage items for the restaurant.
  • Adhere to recipes, standards, and plating guides.
  • Maintain HACCP standards within hotel operations.
  • Use kitchen equipment, tools, and machines appropriately.
  • Assist with off-site events and other tasks outside the kitchen as needed.
  • Participate in inventory management and understand hotel occupancy and event schedules.
  • Respond effectively to guest feedback and adapt to changes.
  • Maintain professionalism and a positive attitude with team members and supervisors.
  • Follow hotel rules and participate in training sessions.
  • Ensure food quality meets standards and assist in supervising team members' work.
  • Promote teamwork to meet departmental goals.
  • Perform duties efficiently and responsibly.
What are we looking for?
  • Junior Middle School diploma or higher.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Cook or Trainee in a 5-star hotel or high-standard restaurant.
  • Valid health certificate.
  • Knowledge of Western or Chinese cuisine.
  • Ability to work with various ingredients and prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to work under stress, remain calm, and solve problems.
  • Willingness to work in humid, hot, and noisy environments.
  • Hospitality or culinary education preferred.
  • Knowledge of HACCP is a plus.
  • Good command of English, both verbal and written, preferred.
