The Commis (Cold Kitchen) is responsible for preparing, cooking, and baking food in designated kitchen areas, following established standards and instructions.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare food efficiently, hygienically, and according to standard recipes.
  • Support the Sous Chef or Chef de Partie to ensure smooth kitchen operations and prompt service.
  • Plan, prepare, and present high-quality food and beverages in the restaurant.
  • Follow recipes, standards, and plating guides accurately.
  • Maintain HACCP standards within hotel operations.
  • Use equipment and tools appropriately.
  • Assist with off-site events as required.
  • Participate in inventory management.
  • Respond effectively to guest feedback.
  • Adapt to changes proactively.
  • Maintain professionalism and a positive attitude with team members and supervisors.
  • Adhere to hotel policies and team member guidelines.
  • Attend training sessions and contribute actively.
  • Ensure quality standards are met and make adjustments as needed.
  • Promote teamwork to achieve departmental goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Junior Middle School diploma or higher.
  • At least 2 years as a Cook or 1 year as Commis II in a 5-star or international hotel/restaurant.
  • Valid health certificate.
  • Knowledge of Western or Chinese cuisine.
  • Ability to work with various ingredients and products.
  • Good time management and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work under stress and solve problems calmly.
  • Willingness to work in humid, hot, and noisy environments.
  • Technical education in hospitality or culinary arts is preferred.
  • Knowledge of HACCP is a plus.
  • Proficiency in English, both verbal and written, is preferred.
