Job summary

Tan Chong Industrial Equipment is seeking a commercial vehicle mechanic to perform maintenance and repairs on schedule with high-quality workmanship. You will inspect engines, transmissions, brakes, and other components to ensure maximum reliability and performance.

Responsibilities include servicing, troubleshooting, and reporting progress to supervisors. Preference given to applicants with SKM/MLVK in Automotive Engineering or equivalent and at least 1 year of experience; automotive

Qualifications

Preferably SKM/MLVK in Automotive Engineering or equivalent.
Preferably 1 year of working experience as a commercial vehicle mechanic.
Certificate in Automotive is encouraged for applicants with no prior experience.

Responsibilities

Inspect engine, transmission, axle, brake and other components to identify issues.
Perform servicing and repairs to ensure reliability and functionality.
Apply lubricants and clean vehicle components as needed.
Inspect and adjust clutch and brake systems.
Report progress and issues to supervisor during the job.
Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them timely.
Repair or replace faulty parts ensuring quality workmanship.
Overhaul major components such as engine, transmission, alternator, starter, differential, power steering.
